Many resources are available for current students and recent graduates to study, intern, work, teach, and volunteer abroad. We've provided some helpful resources below to get you started.
Study Abroad Again
Many returnees come back from their experience abroad and are interested in finding ways to go abroad again during their academic career at 台湾裸聊直播. This is certainly possible, and we've had a number of returnees go abroad on for-credit programs more than once and graduate on time. It's still a good idea to meet with a Global Learning Office (GLO) adviser to go over options and other considerations regarding graduation requirements. to discuss your options.
The supports a number of undergraduate language and research programs. Open to current undergraduate students across the University, several options provide funding to pursue language study and research abroad.
Graduate Programs Abroad
U.S. students can attend graduate programs at institutions all over the world. Most students apply and enroll directly through foreign universities, so there are relatively few "programs" that assist students with the process. Students need to be prepared to navigate the application and matriculation process independently or possibly with the help of the host university's international office.
Contact the Office of Fellowships to explore international scholarships, such as the grant, for study in various countries. In addition, they offer application workshops and personalized assistance on fellowship applications. Most deadlines come around September - October. Plan accordingly. The Office of Fellowships also has an archive of past winning proposals that serve as a powerful resource for proposal writers.
Internships and Work Abroad
Going Global is an online resource for NU students and alumni that provides expert advice and insider tips for finding employment opportunities within the United States and abroad. Gain access to more than 35,000 country specific career and employment resources, corporate profiles for key employers in 31 countries, and worldwide internship and job listings. International students can search for H1B employer petition listings by state, industry, or metro area in a database that contains more than 500,000 records. To access Going Global, login to Handshake > Career Center > Resources. Click "Going Global" and create a personal account.
