Travel to Israel and Palestine

Despite the current ceasefire, the U.S. Department of State (DOS) Travel Advisory for remains a Level 3: Reconsider Travel. (Gaza has always been a Level 4: Do Not Travel). Security conditions continue to be unpredictable. Ground conditions could change at any time, resulting in the need to proceed to a bomb shelter, stay home / indoors or modify travel plans, sometimes at the last minute.
As a result, OGSS strongly recommends community members continue to postpone travel to Israel and the West Bank until further notice. Exceptions apply for short-term, mission-critical research-related travel. Contact us to review the risks.
