Residential Services 

• All residential facilities close for Winter Break at noon on 12/14. The only exception is for students contracted for Continuous Housing. 
• Before departing, all students must complete all closing checklist items and fill out the . 
• All buildings will reopen at 8 a.m. on 1/4/25.  

• Elder and Foster Walker Dining Halls will be closed 12/12 and 12/13, Allison and Sargent will remain open through dinner on 12/13. 
• Allison and Sargent Dining Halls will reopen on 1/4, Elder and Foster Walker will reopen on 1/6/25. 

Additional Building Closures

• Norris closes at 6 p.m. on 12/13  and begins Winter Break Hours.
• The Black House, Multicultural Center and GSRC will close at 5 p.m. on 12/13 and will reopen on 1/6/25.

Wellness Coaching is a collaborative, non-judgmental process that can help you identify and achieve your health and wellness goals, balance dimensions of health and wellness, and learn practical skills to improve overall well-being. Coaches work with you during Wellness Coaching to build on your strengths and support you in creating sustainable plans to achieve your wellness goals related to physical activity, sleep, healthy eating, time management, and stress management/coping skills.

The Perfect Time and Way to Say "Thank You"

The ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Schapiro Award is the perfect opportunity for graduating Seniors to honor a High School teacher who positively impacted their lives. The award winners are invited to participate in Commencement exercises in June. Each teacher honored receives a $5,000 award, and the winning teacher's high school also receives an award of $5,000. We are accepting nominations for the 2025 ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Schapiro Award. The teacher nomination deadline is December 16, 2024.

Resident Assistant Applications Now Open

ASB participants will do hands-on work with nonprofits in Chicago that challenge them to think critically and compassionately and become active citizens dedicated to pursuing a more just and equitable world—applications close on Sunday, January 26, at 11:59 PM.

 Student Affairs manages the Student Activities Assistance Fund, which supports hundreds of student requests for reimbursement for personal expenses related to their student org or fraternity/sorority chapter. Calling All Seniors - Make NUPIP Your Plan After Graduation

The  allows ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ graduates to engage in meaningful work at a Chicago-area nonprofit or civic organization through a yearlong paid fellowship. Beyond these placements, participants also receive access to professional development seminars, mentorship with experienced professionals, and collaboration with a community of peers.
