Black History Month
Black History Month, also known as African American History Month, is an annual observance and celebration in the United States and some other countries. It takes place in February each year and is dedicated to honoring and recognizing the achievements, contributions, and history of African Americans, their culture, and their role in shaping the nation.
Black History Month serves to promote awareness and understanding of Black history and culture. It encourages discussions about racial equality, social justice, and the ongoing fight against discrimination and racism. While it has its roots in the United States, Black History Month has also been adopted and celebrated in other countries to recognize the global impact of the African diaspora.
