What we ask of you
When you attend Drop-In Peer Tutoring, we ask that you keep in mind the guidelines below, to help ensure that everyone in attendance has a good experience:
- Demonstrate respect for everyone’s questions, recognizing that we are all at different stages in understanding course material and that people process information in different ways.
- Help ensure that everyone can ask their questions by stepping back if you have been actively working with a peer tutor for a while.
- Keep in mind that your peer tutors are just that: peers. Your tutor’s role is to help guide you as you work through problems or review course material. They are not a teacher and will not always know the answers to your questions – but can help you find the resources that will help you answer those questions.
- In addition to Drop-In Peer Tutoring, we encourage you to take advantage of your professor’s and/or TA’s office hours.
